I come from a working-class background, ranging from dishwasher to French teacher (including several years as a substitute teacher). I obtained my doctorate in the philosophy of education in 2009 from the University of Manitoba, Canada. I have never liked working for employers and have found every experience of working for employers to be degrading in one way or another.
